Raftel… The Legendary Island and a never ending mystery in One Piece... Every pirate in One Piece world dreams about it. But only one succeeded in reaching it - The Pirate King Gol. D. Roger. But what is there in Raftel? Any guess??

This theory is revolving around this question only. To me, Raftel is not just a place where ‘One Piece’ is located. But it is much more than that…

I have always thought about this question from the day when I saw first episode of one piece. ‘Why Roger was so powerful in one piece?’ Was it just his haki? Or His devil fruit? Or His never ending tenacity to live?’

And one day, one possibility just flashed in front of my eyes. What Roger has achieved that no one ever could achieve in one piece? Obviously it is reaching Raftel and acquiring one piece. So, it can be a possibility that Raftel can be a secret behind Roger’s power...

This thought opened up three new possibilities about Raftel in front of me.

1. There can be people with expertise in Haki on Raftel.

2. Raftel may have environment which can boosts up one’s Haki.

3. There is also a possibility that, new type of devil fruit awakening can possible only on Raftel.

1. THE PEOPLE WITH EXPERTISE IN HAKI

This is one of the popular theories about Raftel. After the war of the century, all the worriers who went against world government didn’t die. There is a possibility that, some of them may have survived the war. They have to hide from the government at that time. So, what you think can be a better place where no one could find their traces?

Of course, there is no better place than Raftel. It is a possibility that those worriers or their decedents may still live on Raftel.

After reaching on Raftel, Roger may have known about their existence and learned new secretes about using haki. That made Roger more powerful than he once was…

2. THE ENVIRONMENT WHICH CAN BOOSTS UP HAKI

Raftel can be a place which is paradise for haki users. It may have the environment which is supportive to haki users and which can take them to new level of experiencing haki. Including Roger, all the members of his crew were experts in using haki. Guy’s we all know, how powerful Reylingh is, when it comes to haki!

He even fought Navy Admiral face to face in his old age. So we can only imagine about his power level, when he was in his prime. Raftel could be a reason behind it!

3. NEW TYPE OF DEVIL FRUIT AWAKENING

Oda haven’t revealed everything about awakening yet. But as we have seen in the case of Doflemingo, after awakening the devil fruit user can change his surrounding according to his devil fruit.

There is big debate is going on between theorists that ‘awakening’ is just something which can change the surrounding according to devil fruit or it is something else. I am in the second group of theorist. To me ‘awakening’ of devil fruit is much more than just changing surrounding as per devil fruit and using it in fight.

There is much more to that yet to be revealed, I will definitely going to make one separate theory on it. But right now I will only say that, awakening may be different for different user.

There is a possibility that, on Raftel devil fruit user can achieve new level of awakening. The surrounding environment gives boost to the devil fruit and takes it to another level.
